Nathaniel Hawthorne (1804-1864) was a fa-mouse Concord author whose contemporaries were Ralph Waldo Emerson, Bronson Alcott and Henry David Thoreau. He was best known for his book The Scarlet Letter. Originally sculpted by Annette in 1997.
This Patriotic Americana mouse was first sculpted by Annette in the 1970's and 1990's for an historic landmark. Today they are painted in this special limited edition to represent the early days when our country was newly independent!
